Buisness Competency - MKT 4270

-This final paper for International Marketing is a culmination of the most influential knowledge that I learned in the class. I take these concepts and personally apply them to my life. International Marketing taught me that despite cultural, language, and ethnic barriers, there are biological similarities that all humans share, and intelligent marketers will play on these shared characteristics to achieve maximum success through large scope marketing campaigns.

Cultural and Literature Competency - SPAN 301

-This paper is a reflection of a field study at the Mercado de Triana (a traditional spanish market) and details operations, communication with native speakers in the form of an interview, and comparisons to other Spanish markets. The study encouraged cultural immersion and communication with locals to learn about typical Spanish traditions and customs.

Linguistic Proficiency - SPAN 3020

-This is an exerpt from a letter that I wrote that demonstates my fluidity in writing in Spanish by using correct grammar tenses, localized vocabulary, and proper sentence structure. The letter is about a man's past expereicnes on a trip to Cancun, Mexico.

Business Competency - ENGL 3040

-This final paper combines concepts learned in prior business courses to professional business writing. In this paper, I conducted a business interpretation of Kenrick's adaption of Maslow's hierarchy of needs pyramid in relation to the beauty and cosmetics industry in Mexico for the enhancement of marketing techniques to new consumer demographics.

Cultural and Literature Competency - SPAN 361

-This sample is an analysis of a novella by Spain's prized author Miguel de Unamano's of Generación 98: San Manuel Bueno, Mártir. The text details the power of Spanish tradition and highlights some of the reocrruing themes that can still be found in modern society. The paper also dives into the novella's main themes of the duality of faith and the importance of actions over words.

Linguistic Proficiency - SPAN 361

-This paper is an in-depth analysis of the play La Casa de Bernada Alba one of Spain's most famous authors of Generación del 27: Federico García Lorca. There is character analysis, plot evaluation, and discussion of main themes. The play aims to show the struggle of equal rights in a primarily male-dominated Spanish society.
