Volunteering at LAMB

Tegucigalpa, Honduras

The LAMB Institute is a multifaceted ministry in Tegucigalpa, Honduras which seeks to protect, educate, and empower children in Honduras. I have been volunteering with LAMB since I was in the sixth grade through constructions efforts and building lasting relationships with some of the children at LAMB’s children’s home. The immense joy that these children have brought to my life has played a major role in teaching me the lesson that despite differing social, economic, and political backgrounds every child deserves the right to be loved and opportunity to be sucsesful. The friendships I have been able to create with some of the boys my age at LAMB’s Children’s Home has given me a new perspective on the global world, helped to deepen my faith, and enhanced my Spanish language proficiency.
